Featured Project
Middle Mountain Foundation
The Middle Mountain Foundation was founded as a way to combine and balance public and private interest in the world’s smallest mountain range, the Sutter Buttes of Northern California. The foundation provided a way for controlled access of the public to private lands through guided hikes. They also worked on environmental and cultural preservation and education.
My Web Development Services
- Web site design
- Web site development
- Updated hike schedules and availability
- Integrated PayPal store
Web Site Goals:
- Increase awareness of the non-profit and its goals, in order to increase support and participation from the community
- Provide information about available hikes and education programs
- Allow people to reserve spots on hikes, and update availability
- Provide educational resources about the Sutter Buttes
- Sell foundation and Sutter Butte related merchandise as a fundraiser for the non-profit
- Provide information about resources to current landowners
To meet this diverse set of goals I designed visually distinct sections within the web site. I was very intentional in creating information hierarchies that would be easy to navigate quickly.
I worked closely with the foundation to schedule and update hike availably at their level of comfort with technology.
There was also a small PayPal store where the public could purchase foundation merchandise.
